Prepare the list of your documents
What are the conditions for obtaining the collection?
- the vehicle is more than 30 years old
- the vehicle has a valid roadworthiness test (except for 2 wheels)
- the model must no longer be produced.
- the vehicle must not have modified (largest engine ever installed originally for example ...)
- the vehicle must not be used for professional purposes
What are the advantages of putting your vehicle in collection?
- For vehicles subject to technical control, the latter will only have to pass it every 5 years instead of 2 usually
- For vehicles put into service before 01/01/1960, there will no longer be any technical control to be carried out
- The technical inspection for classic vehicles is less severe than for others
- There are no restrictions on the circulation of polluting vehicles in large cities
- For imported vehicles, the FFVE certificate acts as a certificate of conformity and makes it possible to obtain its registration in France
How to obtain the collection of your vehicle?
The current holder or the purchaser must obtain an FFVE certificate.
The FFVE (Fédération Française des Véhicules d’Epoque) is the body that checks whether the vehicle meets all the criteria for obtaining this certificate after studying the file sent consisting of a questionnaire and precise photos.
The cost of this certificate is 60 euro (and 30 euro for the 2 wheels of 50cm3).
Once this certificate has been obtained, the file must be sent electronic to the ANTS to obtain the new registration document bearing the mention “collector’s vehicle”.
What documents do you need to provide to obtain this FFVE certificate, then its modified registration card
- Copy of the registration document on both sides
- Valid identity card or passport
- Driving licence
- Proof of address of less than 6 months (if you are hosted, you will need to provide: a certificate of accommodation, A proof of address of less than 6 months to your host, Copy of both sides of the identity card of your host (valid))
- The "application for registration certification" Bold (CERFA 13750*05) completed and signed
- The "mandate to a professional" Bold (CERFA 13757*03) if you entrust this process to an authorized professional such as us
- The FFVE certificate obtained by you or through us. Click here
- The technical inspection valid or -6 months if the registration card is not yet in your name (except for the 2 wheels)
- Valid insurance certificate
- Transfer Certificate 15776*02or Purchase Invoice (if the vehicle is purchased abroad)
How much will your registration card cost?
- The FFVE certificate costs 60 euro and 30 euro for cyclos
- If you are already the holder of the registration card, the cost of the modification is 13.76 euro (not including the price of the service of the professional who carries out the procedure for you)
- If you have just purchased the vehicle, the cost will be the normal price of a vehicle registration card for a vehicle over 10 years old, calculated according to your department of residence.
