Office Carte Grise is the online vehicle registration service operated by OCCAS AUTO, based in Tourrettes, in the Var département of southern France. Since 3 April 2009 we have been officially authorised by the French Ministry of the Interior (habilitation N°188573) and accredited by the French Treasury (agrément N°46489) to issue vehicle registration certificates — the document known in France as the carte grise. In practice, that dual authorisation gives us direct access to the SIV, France's national vehicle registration system. It means we can process your file without going through the ANTS portal, and resolve situations an individual cannot resolve alone.

The company is run by Sandrine Paul, who is also the site's publication director. We are a small team, reachable by phone Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm (CET). That is deliberate: on a registration file, most blockers are resolved in a few minutes over the phone.

A straightforward change of ownership is quick. What takes time is the unusual file: a vehicle imported without a certificate of conformity, a transfer code that expired or was never passed on, a registration document lost before a roadworthiness test, an inheritance, a classic vehicle over thirty years old, an old FNI plate to convert. Those are the files we handle most. We check every document before submission, which avoids rejections and back-and-forth with the administration.

Since late 2009, France has replaced its old FNI registration system with the SIV. And since November 2017, prefectures no longer handle registrations at the counter — every carte grise procedure must be completed online, either through the government's ANTS portal or through an accredited professional such as Office Carte Grise. This is a private site, independent of the French State. You can complete your procedures free of charge, excluding registration taxes, on ants.gouv.fr. Our fees cover our support service and the checking of your file.
